There are things that you need in the office that you might not first think of. I am not talking about the boring office furniture or the very dull ergonomic chair, but of some of the things you could use to brighten up those dull serviced offices to make the employees a bit happier.

Coffee Machine

The thing is this isnt much to ask for and if you are denying your employees this you are certainly being more than harsh. If you think about it, not only with the employees be happier with better quality tea and coffee but it will work out for you too as they will be spending less time making the drinks!

Pool Table

They may be expensive, they may not be something you as the employer thinks is necessary but things like this actually increase the level of happiness of the employees. Of course you could have pool tournaments every so often within the office and it would only be used in breaks and lunch hours or after the long day has finished.

Television

This again is going to increase the moods of all of the people that work for youy. If you are a company that needs to be keeping an eye on the news then stick the news channel on during the hours that are not lunch so employees can keep up to date on things. Stick the subtitles on so people that are deep within work do not get annoyed.

Games Consoles

In our office you can already find two big tvs, an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo wii. It means that those boring lunchtimes can be spend in a better way and all of the stress of work can be forgotten about for a bit.

Although you could possibly think these investments are not worth taking at all it could all help with the work rates.
